Principals Message

Dear Borrego Springs Middle School Students, Staff, and Parents,

I can not believe that we are already a quarter of the way through the school year. You should be receiving quarter grades in the mail by 11/8/2019. If you did not receive grades please check with the office.

Parents and students, middle school is the time where you start learning routines, good habits, and discipline to become a great high school student and ready for college or career.

Every year we are growing in our course offerings for our students. This year we are excited to offer Music Appreciation, Drama, Communications, and Art in addition to our regular core classes.

I would like to remind everyone of our mission statement:
As a small school and caring community, we work together to provide every single student a diverse and academically rich education. We aspire to produce graduates who have their own visions for the future, armed with strong values and the tools for success in college, career, family and community life.

I truly believe that our students have so much opportunity to thrive and grow in our school district. Our small community and teachers who know all the students, strive to give each individual child a rich education. As well as social and emotional support to help them become successful in college, career, family, and community life.

Parents, we always encourage you to be in contact with the teachers if you ever have any questions or concerns, they are more than happy to meet and speak with you and have translators available if needed. Our student success is a priority for everyone. Parents, we are also always looking for volunteers to be on School Site Council.

Remember Borrego students achieve more with Borrego PRIDE: Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, and Empathy.

Thank You,
Victoria Baay, M.Ed.
